Footballer Gerard Pique and his girlfriend Clara Chía have reportedly ended their relationship after three years. This claim was made on the Spanish TV show Vamos a ver (Let’s See), citing sources close to the couple. The split comes after the pair made their relationship public in 2022 following Gerard’s high-profile breakup with global pop star Shakira.
Although the exact reason behind the breakup remains unclear, Spanish journalist Adriana Dorronsoro, who discussed the news on Vamos a ver, mentioned that “third parties might be involved." Dorronsoro added there have been rumours that the couple has faced challenges in recent months.

The relationship between Gerard and Clara first made headlines after Gerard’s split from Shakira in 2022. Gerard and Shakira were in a relationship from 2010 to 2022 during which time they had two children: Milan, born in January 2013, and Sasha, born in January 2015. Shakira decided to part ways with Gerard after he cheated on her with Clara. She had been working for Gerard’s company, Kosmos, before they started their relationship.
Clara and Gerard reportedly met in November 2021 when Clara was working as a waitress at a bar in Barcelona. Piqué was a regular at the bar and the couple became close. According to journalist Pepe del Real (on the same TV show), the couple’s troubles began when Clara wanted to move forward in the relationship and start a family. But Gerard was reportedly hesitant to take such steps. This difference in their future goals was believed to have created tension between them.
“I’m not surprised because I know they had a crisis because she wanted to move forward in the relationship, be a mother and all that, but he was still somewhat wary," Pepe del Real said.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship problems intensified in recent weeks after photos surfaced of Gerard with a redhead woman in an ice cream parlor in Miami.
