Jennifer Lopez Attends Othello Opening Night With Child Emme: ‘I Have The Most Amazing Date’
Jennifer Lopez shares Emme and twin brother Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Jennifer Lopez and her child, Emme, made a striking appearance at the Broadway opening night of Othello in New York City on March 23. The highly anticipated revival, featuring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal in lead roles, attracted several well-known celebrities.
Lopez and Emme arrived at the Barrymore Theatre in coordinated black ensembles. The singer and the actress were seen in an elegant black fitted two-piece ensemble adorned with a shimmering bedazzled pattern. She layered it with a black fur statement coat and accessorized with silver circular earrings and a black clutch. With glamourous makeup and hair styled in a sleek high bun, Lopez looked nothing short of a vision.

On the other hand, Emme complemented the theme with a black and white pinstriped suit. The teen styled it with a printed tie, a grey button-down shirt and black loafers. A pair of black eyeglasses and gold earrings completed the look.

Earlier in the evening, the 55-year-old actress shared a glimpse of their outing by sharing a video on her Instagram Stories. From the back seat of her ride, she said, “I have the most amazing date for the premiere of Othello, the black-tie premiere of Othello, here in New York tonight."
The singer then turned the camera to Emme who waved at the screen with a grin. “Super excited. Here we go," Lopez added.
The opening night of Othello was attended by several high-profile guests such as Samuel L. Jackson, Anna Wintour, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana DeBose, Liev Schreiber, Rosie Perez, Martha Stewart and Spike Lee. Oscar winner Kieran Culkin, Cynthia Nixon and even former President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were also present at the premiere.
Lopez shares Emme and twin brother Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony. The former couple, who were married for a decade, welcomed their children in 2008. They finalised their divorce in 2014.
This is not the first time Emme has accompanied Lopez for red-carpet events. Last year, the 17-year-old joined her at the premiere of the movie Wicked.
On the personal front, Lopez is currently single. She finalised her divorce from Ben Affleck on January 6, following a marriage that lasted about two years. She had filed for divorce in August 2024.
Professionally, she was last seen in Kiss of the Spider Woman, a musical drama directed by Bill Condon. The film, based on the stage musical of the same name, is an adaptation of Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel. Lopez played the lead role alongside Diego Luna and Tonatiuh.
