Kim Sae Ron’s Ex-Husband’s Shocking Claims Reignite Fury Towards Kim Soo Hyun And YouTuber Lee Jin Ho
Online users expressed their frustration, highlighting how the new claims should not distract people from the fact that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor.
Nearly a month after South Korean actress Kim Sae Ron’s death, various reasons have surfaced in the media which allegedly could have led to her untimely demise. On the one hand, the late actress’ aunt made some bombshell revelations on the Garo Sero YouTube channel, claiming that her relationship with actor Kim Soo Hyun and a debt to his agency Gold Medalist were the reasons. On the other hand, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho said that she was in an abusive marriage and had an abortion.
Amid all the speculations, a new video has surfaced in the media, further intensifying the outrage against Soo Hyun and the controversial YouTuber. On Tuesday, March 25, Kim Sae Ron’s alleged ex-husband came forward to share his side of the story on Garo Sero Research Insititute’s YouTube channel.

In his statement, he strongly denied claims that Kim Sae Ron was pregnant and that she was forced to get married due to it. “It is a severe form of humiliation of the late Kim Sae Ron to claim that she was threatened into marriage due to pregnancy, etc. Who gets married due to threats? We both loved each other and Kim Sae Ron also passionately agreed to the marriage, showing that she wanted to proceed with it," the actress’ ex-husband said.
He also denied that they were in an abusive and turbulent marriage, saying, “But false information about our personal lives and marriage, and unconfirmed claims from her ex-boyfriend, were spread through recordings by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, Director Kwak Tae Young, and her previous manager."
After this video, featuring the late actress’ ex-husband’s statement, went viral, many once again slammed the Queen of Tears and the controversial YouTuber. A section of online users expressed their frustration, highlighting how the new claims should not distract people from the fact that Soo Hyun dated Sae Ron when she was a minor and he was in his late twenties. Another section criticised Lee Jin Ho for his controversial videos, with some even alleging that those were the reasons that led to Sae Ron’s untimely demise.
Taking to the comment section of the YouTube video shared by Garo Sero Research Institute, one user said, “Just because Kim Sae Ron passed away doesn’t mean Kim Soo Hyun’s alleged violation of child and youth protection laws should be swept under the rug!!! Please investigate until the end!!!"
Another added, “Whether it’s an American husband or a swindler, we need to focus on the essence. 1. Underage dating 2. Lee Jin-ho’s video"
“Lee Jin Ho is once again stirring things up about Kim Sae Ron and her mother. She had a bad relationship with her mother, but she didn’t die because of her—she took her own life because of you, so why do you keep saying otherwise?" said a different user.
Someone else wrote, “Let’s use common sense!!! An ex-boyfriend suddenly shows up and takes Kim Soo Hyun’s side??? He should be supporting Kim Sae Ron instead… How does it make sense to frame this as disrespecting her parents?! Honestly, Garosero did well on this one…"
