Masaba Gupta Praises Netflix’s Adolescence: 'Absolute SOLID Work, I’m Jealous Of Stephen Graham’s Brain'
In her elaborate note, Masaba Gupta admitted to feeling “devastated by the message of the show” adding that she is jealous of someone’s brain.

Adolescence on Netflix has been getting rave reviews worldwide, including celebrities from across the industries. The latest one to join the bandwagon is ace designer Masaba Gupta. She dropped a post on Instagram stories, showering applause on the cast and crew of the show for their impressive work to turn the psychological thriller into something “solid." In her elaborate note, Masaba admitted to feeling “devastated by the message of the show" adding that she is jealous of someone’s brain.
Masaba Gupta’s note read, “ADOLESCENCE: Imagine a world of content where you have seamless one-shot episodes. Not one actor misses a beat. Not one. Not even the guy doing nothing in the back. Imagine massive critical acclaim, entertainment, and not being able to take your eyes off the screen. Imagine amazement, shock, goosebumps not because of cringe content but absolute SOLID work from every single department."

Heaping praises on the team for delivering such a masterpiece, she added, “They didn’t come to play. Not for one second. They didn’t even come to be above average or great. They came to set up a whole new playbook for the craft."
Moving ahead, Masaba beautifully encapsulated her emotions after watching the show. Sharing that she is devastated by the message of the show, she also admitted to feeling mediocre looking at the “work happening out there." Concluding, she noted, “Even though I am not an actor – art & storytelling just got a massive upgrade and we all better catch up. Stephen Graham, I am so jealous and I haven’t been jealous of someone’s brain for a while."
Days before the post, Masaba Gupta celebrated her first Holi with her daughter, Matara. After the joyous occasion, the ace designer dropped a bunch of photos on social media and revealed that she played Holi with flower petals. Furthermore, she also enjoyed a festive meal that included Kadhi Chawal, Aloo Bhindi, and achaar. In her post, she added an adorable photo of little Matara’s tiny feet along with the picture of the delicious food she had enjoyed.
Masaba and her husband, actor Satyadeep Misra, welcomed their baby daughter on October 11 last year. The couple got married to each other in January, 2023.
Meanwhile, Adolescence is a four-part series about a 13-year-old boy who is arrested for the murder of a classmate. Within weeks of its premiere, the show grabbed the top spot on Netflix, also becoming the most-watched show in 71 countries.
