Salman Khan has opened up about the challenges his parents, Salim Khan and Salma Khan faced in their married life. Recently, the Bollywood superstar was promoting his upcoming movie Sikandar when he talked to the media in Mumbai about his parents. Salman revealed that the main issue in his parents’ marriage was not religion but Salim Khan’s profession as a filmmaker.
“It was never about the difference in the Hindu and Muslim culture and the practices, the bigger and more concerning thing at that time was, ‘Ye toh film line se hain’," Salman said, as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Salim Khan married Salma in 1964. They have four children – Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, and Alvira. In 1981, Salim married actress Helen.
Meanwhile, Salim Khan recently also praised his son, Salman’s upcoming movie Sikandar and called it the “best". “Best. Dekh ke lag raha hai iske baad kya hoga, iske baad kya hoga, ab kya karte hai," he said.
Sikandar is one of Sajid Nadiadwala’s most ambitious projects, directed by AR Murugadoss. Besides Salman Khan, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. Sikandar also boasts stunning cinematography by S. Thirunavukarasu, with Vivek Harshan handling the edits. Pritam has composed the soundtrack, featuring lyrics by Sameer, while the background score has been crafted by acclaimed South Indian composer Santhosh Narayanan.
Recently, at the trailer launch event of the movie, the Bollywood superstar was seen talking about his experience working on the Sikandar sets. Khan shared an interesting anecdote to reveal how Murugadoss constantly pushed him, especially in action sequences, to bring out his best. Salman also revealed that he did early morning shoots for Sikandar, something which he has always avoided before for his previous films.
Sikandar is set to hit the big screen on March 30, perfectly timed with Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
