This Baywatch Actress Spent Over $60,000 To Get Rid Of Obsessive Stalker
Alexandra Paul, in a story penned down about a stalker who made her life a "nightmare" for 13 years.

Despite having the pros of being in the spotlight, celebrities face a fair share of downsides as well, which include being followed by their obsessive fans, who sometimes take it too far. One such case unfolded with Baywatch alum Alexandra Paul, who was left terrified and traumatised by a relentless stalker, who she claims spent over a decade following her every move. The actress revealed how the incident took a major toll on her life and her family, forcing her to spend more than $60,000 in the process.
Alexandra Paul recently penned her story in an article by The Ankler, where she shared details of her stalking experience, which made her life a “nightmare" for 13 years. “I’ve spent more than $60,000 in legal fees, hiring private investigators and installing security systems to try and protect my house. I check the street every time I leave home, avoid interactions with fans, and rarely go to public events," she wrote in the essay, as per Newsweek.

As shared by Paul, the series of events began in December 2011 when the woman and her little brother arrived at the door of her Pacific Palisades home, asking to use her toilet for the brother. “Always the people pleaser, I invited them in. I made small talk with her and introduced my husband, Ian (Murray), while the little boy used the toilet," she continued. Paul did not analyse the situation, but things started taking a strange turn after the woman started leaving notes at her door with gifts and even asked if her brother could return to their home.
Murray subsequently stepped in and asked the woman not to bother them, and it worked—temporarily! A few months later, Paul discovered the woman moving to a house near her, following which she started chalking up their coincidental meetings at the gym, a trail in their neighborhood, and even at the pool. The situation escalated when the actress noticed the woman “always" coming to the gym at the same time as her and even choosing the equipment next to her. “I alerted the management at the gym, but there was nothing they could do. So I left that gym because they could not legally require her to leave," she added.

Frustrated by the woman’s actions, Paul got a restraining order after she was “cornered and physically prevented" from walking away in a parking garage. The woman ended up breaking up the order 29 times. Paul recalled how the woman’s attitude changed over the course of time, starting with an awkward adoration and ending with hatred for her husband. Things didn’t end there, as the woman started sending “hundreds of posters" around their house, accusing the actress of being an “antisemite and a criminal" and making wild accusations about her marriage with Ian Murray.
The stalking then took a major turn when the woman hit Paul with her car and assaulted Murray, leading to a lengthy legal battle. After years of chase and legal fights, the woman was arrested and deported to her home country as she was illegally living in the US. The unnamed stalker passed away in July 2024.
“I will never know why she picked me. I am still working through the guilt of initial politeness to her," Paul mentioned in her essay.
