The actor will reprise his role as the ruthless and infamous Barbosa, the vicious leader of The Eye Gang. After 6.5 years, the notorious character is back with a singular mission—to complete his unfinished task of dismantling the CID bureau. As the Eye Gang’s deadly game unfolds, it threatens to shake the very foundation of the bureau, creating turmoil and uncertainty among the team. Barbosa’s return marks a major moment in the show, promising a storyline packed with gripping suspense, adrenaline-pumping action, and unexpected twists that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
Well now, the filmmaker sat for an interview with a media portal where he candidly shared his thoughts on reprising the iconic role. The actor also revealed that Barbosa will be seen in a more intense, sharp, and unpredictable character this time.

Reflecting on his comeback to the show, the actor told ETimes that he initially had fears of being overshadowed when he first joined CID, but to his surprise, it turned out to be an incredible experience, with the audience appreciating his portrayal of Barbosa and the Eye Gang. “Due to popular demand, I’ve been called back to CID, and I couldn’t be more thrilled," he added.
In the same conversation, Dhulia also described his journey in the show and spoke highly of his experience working with the CID team, describing them as exceptionally talented and professional. He emphasised, “It’s rare to find such dedication in this industry. What makes it even more special is that most of the crew, from the artists to the technicians, are familiar faces, which makes returning feel like coming home. I am absolutely loving the experience."
Talking about his character, Tigmanshu revealed that Barbosa’s character has evolved. This time, Barbosa returns with a clear mission and is fully prepared to take on whatever comes in his way. “At any given moment, he could turn the tables, and that unpredictability makes him more dangerous. There is a certain stylised edge to Barbosa this time, which adds to the thrill of playing him. I am having an absolute blast portraying this role, and I can promise viewers that I have come back with a bang. The upcoming episodes will be nothing short of a thrilling rollercoaster ride," concluded the actor.
