Urvashi Rautela Opens Up On Romancing 38 Years Older Sunny Deol: ‘I’m Breaking That Record…’
Urvashi Rautela talked about the 38-year age-gap between her and Sunny Deol in Singh Saab The Great. She is all set to break this record with her upcoming film starring Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Anil Sharma’s film Singh Saab The Great released in 2013, and starred Sunny Deol, Amrita Rao and Urvashi Rautela. The film marked Urvashi’s acting debut. She was paired opposite a much-senior Sunny Deol in the film. In a recent interview with iDiva, the actress spoke about the 38-year age gap between them, and how she is all set to break the record with her upcoming film starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is in his 60s.
When asked if romancing Sunny Deol as a 19-year-old felt weird, Urvashi Rautela said, “It is the biggest age-gap in the history of Bollywood, correct me if I’m wrong. We had a 38-year age-gap. I was younger than his sons, as well. But if the director thinks there’s no problem, it’s okay." She further added that she is going to break this record with her upcoming project NBK 109, a big-budget massy South film, in which she is paired opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna.

“I’m paired opposite Balakrishna garu, and between us, the age gap is… He’s in his 60s or 70s, and it’s the biggest age-gap in the history of Indian cinema," she said. Sharing her opinion on the topic of age gap in films, Urvashi said, “The more the age gap is, it benefits the film. The older a star is, the more fans they have. Cinema-wise, it benefits the film a lot, but personal-wise, of course it doesn’t." She added that while she doesn’t mind the age gap in movies, she wouldn’t date someone with such a massive age gap in real life.
Directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Naga Vamsi under the banner Sitara Entertainments, NBK 109 also features Bobby Deol, Ravi Kishen, Dulquer Salmaan, Prakash Raj, and Payal Rajput. It is touted to be a high-octane action film. Bobby Deol will reportedly play the antagonist in this film, and he wrapped up shooting for the film in August.
