WBCHSE WB HS Results 2022 declared LIVE Updates: Out of the 7.5 lakh students who registered for the WB 12th or Uccha Madhyamik exams, as many as 88.44 per cent of students have passed the exam. This is a huge drop from last year when 97 per cent of students had passed the exam in a record-breaking result. Notably, exams were not held last year and the result was announced based on an alternative assessment module. Now, the results are back at pre-pandemic levels.
The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced the results of class 12 board exams on June 10 at 11 am. Even though results will be out by 11 am, the marksheet is not being displayed yet. Students can get their marksheets online at wbresults.nic.in, wbchse.org and News18.com before noon. Official marksheets from board will be issued to schools from June 20 onwards.
This is the first-ever exam after the covid-19 pandemic. Even though the exams were held offline. Classes for the current batch were still conducted in offline mode amid the pandemic-led school shutdown. Even as last year’s record-high pass percentage is likely to see a dip this year, it is likely to tank as certain relaxations including syllabus cuts were also offered this year. Last year, of 8,19,202 students who had registered for the exam as many as 97 per cent had passed it.
To pass WB board exams, students need to obtain at least 33 per cent marks or grade D. Students will be getting marks as well as grades for their performances in class 12. Students who score 100 to 90 marks get a distinction or O Those who obtain marks in the range of 89 to 70 get A-plus For getting marks in the 60s, students get first division. Students who score more than 50 per cent students get second division. Between 49 to 34 is the third division. The cut-off marks have been revised this year.

WB HS result 2022: Not satisfied? What to do
The West Bengal Higher Secondary results 2022 were announced today, June 10. A total of 88.44% students have cleared the Uccha Madhyamik exams. For students who are not satisfied with their results may apply for re-evaluation of the copies. Further, WBCHSE is likely to hold compartment exams for students who fail in a couple of subjects. Those who have failed in more than two more will have to repeat the year.
About 25% WB Govt Schools Do Not Have a Head Master
Out of a total of 9,990 government schools in West Bengal, about 2,130 schools do not have a headmaster. According to sources in the school education department, this accounts for 25 per cent of the state schools which do not have any headmaster. This is likely due to the not recruiting headteachers on a long-term basis. As per the rules, a headteacher can be appointed for a period of seven years.
TS Inter Result 2022 Likely by June 15
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TBIE) will declare the Telangana Intermediate or 12th result soon, likely by June 15. There is no official confirmation on the date yet. Once the results are out, TS Intermediate Results for 1st, 2nd year will be available on tsbie.cgg.gov.in and manabadi.

West Bengal HS result 2022: Toppers list released after 2 years
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the exams were not held in 2020 and 2021. The evaluation was done based on an alternative method taking into account past year marks. Thus, no merit or topper list was released in the past two years. It has been released this year. In 2021, commerce stream scored the highest pass percentage followed by science. In both streams, more than 99 per cent of kids cleared the exam. In 2020, science stream delivered better results. Arts stream continues to be the worst performer.
WBCHSE HS result: 4 students grab rank 2
As many as 4 students have secured rank 2. Rohin Sen from Patha Bhawan, Kolkata, Soham Das from Hooghly, Abhik Das from Purba Burdwan, and Parichay Pari from Paschim Mednipur have all got rank 3 or 496 marks. All of them have got 99.2%.
WBBSE Madhyamik result: 86.6% of students clear exam
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) declared the Madhyamik or class 10 result 2022 on June 3. A total of 86.6% of students cleared the exam. The pass percentage among boys is at 88.59% and among girls, it is 85%. Two students from Bankura topped the WBBSE Madhyamik exam. Arnab Gharai from Bankura and Raunak Mandal from East Burdwan grabbed the first spot with 99% or 693 marks.
WB results: 35% needed to get science stream
WBCHSE has reduced the minimum marks needed in class 10 to select science stream in classes 11 and 12. Students who get 35% or above marks in class 10 can now opt for science subjects. Earlier, the minimum marks needed was 45 per cent. Students who want to study mathematics, statistics, computer as elective subjects need to score a minimum of 35 per cent marks in mathematics in class 10 board exams. Those who wish to opt for life sciences must score at least 35 per cent marks in relevant subjects. To study physics or chemistry, students must have at least 35 per cent in class 10th board in science subject.
WBCHSE HS 12th exam 2023 to be held twice?
The West Bengal board might hold the HS or Uccha Madhyamik exams in 2023 twice. The state government had earlier formed a committee to formulate its own education policy for 12th class students. According to sources, whether the board exams will be held twice is yet to be finalised. Last month, Parliament Speaker Chiranjeev Bhattacharya told News18Bengali, “There is a committee meeting on the May 6. Will comment after that.”
WB HS Result 2022: Error in online marksheet? What to do
After downloading the marksheets online, students must ensure it is error-free. They need to check the spellings of their name, school and exam centre name, marks total, grades, percentage calculation and other details. In case of any discrepancy, report to the respective school principals or email to WBCHSE.

Boys Perform Better Than Girls
In a reverse trend, boys tend to perform better than girls. As many as 90.19 per cent of boys have passed the exam while among girls, the pass percentage is at 87.49 per cent. This year, the classes were held in online mode for the most part of the year.
WBCHSE HS Result 2022: Documents Needed to Check
West Bengal Board results will be announced online, however, not everyone will be able to see your result. For privacy and protection, results are behind a log-in. WB HS Result Better Thank Pre-pandemic level, Despite 3-Year Low
Despite being the lowest pass percentage in three years, the WB HS result 2022 is still better than the results announced before the pandemic hit India. It is noteworthy that in 2020 and 2021 the assessment models were changed which could be the reason behind high pass percentage The pass percentage of 22022 is 88.44 per cent a slight increase from 2019 (the last year when exams were held) when as many as 86.29 per cent of students passed the exam.
Pass percentage Crosses 90% in 7 Districts
Even though the result is worse than last year, for certain areas the pass percentage continues to be a record high despite the pandemic-led school shutdown. According to data shared by WBCHSE, there are seven districts where the pass percentage has crossed 90 per cent.

Commerce or Science: Which Will be Top Performing Stream?

In 2021, commerce overtook the science stream to become the best performing stream, however, the margin between the two was very small. In both streams, more than 99 per cent of kids cleared the exam. Before 2021, science was unbeatable year after year. In 2020 as well students from the science stream delivered better results. Arts continues to be the worst performer.

2022: Yet to be announced. Merit list to be out after a gap of about two years.
2021: None of the students got a full 100% score. The highest marks scored this year are 499 out of 500. This too has been obtained by a girl from Murshidabad. The merit list or topper list was not released.
2020: Exams canceled mid-way due to covid-19, no merit list
2019: Shobhan Mandal and Rajarshi Burman both secured the first position by scoring 498
