Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations and best wishes to wrestler Aman Sehrawat after he claimed a bronze medal in the Men’s 57kg Freestyle event at the Paris Olympics on Friday.
“More pride thanks to our wrestlers!", PM Modi said while putting out a post for Sehrawat on his official X account.

President Droupadi Murmu also soon took to her official X account and congratulated Sehrawat for winning the bronze medal.

Union Home Minister also congratulated Aman for his remarkable victory and lauded his ‘remarkable perseverance and strength.’

Aman Sehrawat shone the brightest as the Indian wrestler dominated Puerto Rico’s Darien Toi Cruz to clinch the Bronze medal in the Men’s 57kg Freestyle event at the Olympics on Friday.
Aman, who suffered a crushing 10-0 loss to Japan’s Higuchi Rei previously, came back strong to dominate the Puerto Rican in a bout that ended 13-5 in favour of the Indian.
With his win, India’s medal tally goes up to 6 medals now, with 5 Bronze and 1 Silver.
Sehrawat is the youngest Indian to win an Olympic medal at 21 years 0 months and 24 days. Before him, the youngest from the country was Shuttler PV Sindhu, who won an Olympic medal at 21 years 4 months in Rio 2016.
