The team of researchers from the Zoological Survey of India unknowingly collected faecal samples of White-cheeked Macaques (Confirmed after DNA analysis) while searching for red pandas in Arunachal Pradesh

The white-cheeked Macaque have white cheeks, long and thick hair on the neck and a longer tail than other macaque species.
