Biker Falls Into Open Manhole, Internet Questions Authorities
A shocking video shows a motorcyclist who falls into an open manhole while riding on a busy street.
Open manholes on busy roads continue to be a safety risk as it puts pedestrians and drivers in danger. Many accidents have been reported due to uncovered manholes, yet the problem persists in several places. In some cases, these accidents result in serious injuries and extreme situations, they can even be fatal. Recently, a shocking video has surfaced online which shows a motorcyclist who falls into an open manhole while riding on a busy street. The footage shared on social media has sparked road safety concerns among users.
The viral video shows an uncovered manhole right in the middle of a busy road. As the footage continues, it shows a car passing over it safely as its four wheels remain on either side of the opening. But the situation took a drastic turn when a motorbike was following the car very closely. The rider, seemingly unaware of the danger ahead, does not notice the manhole in time. As a result, he falls straight into it along with his bike. The motorcycle disappears entirely into the hole while the man struggles to get out.

Since being posted online, the video has accumulated more than seventy thousand views. The video has drawn sharp reactions from people who expressed their frustration over the poor state of road safety and lack of accountability in the comment section.
One user commented, “What a shame. Whichever city this is, the administrators must be questioned and booked."
Another said, “This is the condition after paying huge taxes. Don’t know where our tax money is going?"
“This is where Indians must outrage," an individual remarked while a person shared, “That’s India for you. Many have died from roads like these. You pay taxes for roads like these. The government only cares about highway roads and the ones on bridges (Even the bridge roads will be trashy in many towns and cities)."
“This is scary," “This is life of normal public" and “I felt sorry for that man," were some of the other reactions from the social media users.
In January, a similar incident was caught on camera which showed the dangers of unattended manholes. A woman, carrying a baby on her lap, fell into an open manhole while seemingly distracted on a phone call. She appeared unaware of her surroundings when the accident happened. The incident reportedly took place in Faridabad, Haryana.
