Body Of Woman Wrapped In Blanket Found Inside Bed-Box In Delhi's Vivek Vihar
The body was found in house number 118 A of a DDA flat in Satyam Enclaves' Jhilmil Colony. The decomposed body of the woman was kept inside a bag.
Delhi: In a shocking incident, a dead body of a woman was found inside the bed-box in a house in Delhi’s Shahdara’s Vivek Vihar. The incident came to light after police was informed about a foul smell coming out of a house. When the officials reached the spot, they found a woman’s body wrapped with a blanket.
According to an official, the body was kept in a bag inside the bed box. The house belongs to Vivekanand Mishra, aged between 50 and 60 years.

Speaking about the incident, Shahdara Addl DCP Neha Yadav said, “We received a call at 4.37 that a foul smell was coming out of a house. The number of the house is 118 A, Satyam Enclave, Jhilmil Colony. These are DDA flats in Vivek Vihar. The owner of the house is Vivekanand Mishra, aged 50-60 years."
“An intact dead body of a woman was found in the house inside a bag, which was wrapped with a blanket. The bag was inside a box and there was an incense stick on it. The body has not been identified yet. No one has been caught yet, legal action is underway," she added.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam the officials found the house locked from outside and traces of blood near the backdoor on reaching the spot. As they opened the door, a decomposed body of a woman was found, wrapped in blanket.
A senior officer told PTI that the dead woman, in her late 40s, appeared to have been killed two to three days ago.
The police in an initial probe, found that Mishra, the owner of the flat, visited the flat on Thursday night and Friday afternoon, according to sources cited by PTI.
The forensic has collected the evidence from the spot and an investigation into the matter is underway.
