Allu Arjun To Play A Villain In Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan 2? Netizens React To 'Strong Rumours'
Shah Rukh Khan's 2023 film Pathaan is getting a sequel. Rumours say Allu Arjun might play the villain.

Shah Rukh Khan made his Bollywood comeback in 2023 with Pathaan, a film that resurrected Bollywood from its dry spell. After a blockbuster run at the box office, the film is now headed for a sequel. Reportedly, YRF is going out of its way to gather the best casting coup for the film. That’s when strong rumours emerged, stating Allu Arjun might play the villain in Pathaan 2.
While neither the makers nor the South superstar have reacted to the rumours, netizens couldn’t contain their excitement at the mere possibility of such an ensemble casting. “I know it’s Allu Arjun is the villain in Pathaan 2, send me my prize @yrf @SRKUniverse @iamsrk," wrote an X user.

Another user posted, “Strong Rumour:- Allu Arjun as Villain in Pathaan 2." A third user wrote, “Pathaan 2 SRK x Allu Arjun."
Reddit users also shared their thoughts on a South A-lister being cast as the villain in Pathaan 2. While some thought of Yash as an ideal choice, others wondered whether the Pushpa star will be cast in the film. However, ardent Arjun fans argued that the possibility of his casting in Pathaan 2 is negligible since the superstar has an unsaid rule of not featuring in a film with two leads.
However, Allu Arjun, during Pushpa 2 promotions, said how he once thought of never doing a Hindi film. Speaking about his friendship with music composer Devi Sri Prasad, the actor reflected on his past thoughts of never working in Bollywood. He said, “We both come from Chennai. I used to tell him it is very difficult for me to do a Hindi film, but as a music director, it is easy for him to do a Hindi film. I would ask him why he doesn’t do it. He would respond, ‘No, and why don’t you do a Hindi film and along with you, I will also do a Hindi film.’ I said I will never do a Hindi film because at that time it was extremely hard to do a Hindi film."
He further said, “Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing. Maybe in our lifetime, we will do one or two Hindi films. It was that far away for us to do Hindi films. From that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me. We both won National Awards and gave a national superhit album for the same film. It is the most precious thing ever to happen for us."
Meanwhile, producer Aditya Chopra has reportedly locked the script of Pathaan 2 and plans to take it to the production stage early next year. While SRK and Deepika Padukone will reprise their roles in the film, the hunt for the antagonist is on. Previously directed by Siddharth Anand, the production banner is also looking for a new director to bring a fresh perspective to the spy film.
