Chiranjeevi Starts Shooting For Mega 157 On Ugadi; Don't Miss His Candid Hug With Venkatesh Daggubati

Megastar Chiranjeevi has started shooting for his upcoming film, tentatively titled Mega 157. The actor has teamed up with directed Anil Ravipudi for the film. Chiranjeevi posted multiple photos from the film’s sets on the occasion of Ugadi, marking new beginnings. The film was launched by actor Venkatesh Daggubati, who first posed with the film’s clapboard and then shared a candid hug with the Megastar.
Chiranjeevi shared multiple photos from the pooja ceremony of Mega 157. Sharing the pictures, he wrote, “On this joyous occasion of Ugadi, I’m happy to begin my journey with the amazing director @anilravipudi, producers @sahu_garapati, @sushmitakonidela, and the entire team of #Mega157. While details of the remaining cast are yet to be unveiled, Aditi Rao Hydari or Parineeti Chopra are likely to play the female lead in the film. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.
Reportedly, Mega 157 promises a blend of humour, emotion, and high-octane action. Written by Anil Ravipudi, the film stars Chiranjeevi as Shankar Varaprasad. The technical team features Sameer Reddy as the cinematographer, Bheems Ceciroleo handling the music, and Tammiraju serving as the editor.
Meanwhile, Anil Ravipudi’s previous film, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, starred Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead. After amassing a tentative sum of Rs 300 crore at the box office, the film is now streaming on Zee5. It was backed by Sri Venkateswara Creations, and also features many known faces, including actors Meenakshi Chaudhary, Aishwarya Rajesh, Srinivasa Reddy, Sai Kumar, Upendra Limaye, Naresh, VTV Ganesh and Srinivas Avasarala.
As for Chiranjeevi, he will be next seen in Vishwambhara. Previously slated for release in January 2025, the film’s released date has now been pushed to May 2025.
