It shows Sargun and Nimrat once again clashing as rival wives, both trying to get the attention of their shared husband, played by Ammy. The second part continues the story from the first film, where Nirmal and Naseeb were a happily married couple but struggled to have a child.
Following her mother-in-law’s suggestion, Naseeb convinces her husband to marry her younger sister, Kirna. While it seems like a simple plan at first, it soon turns into a complete mess, as Naseeb finds it hard to share her husband. The teaser of the sequel promises even more confusion and funny moments.
The first part of the franchise, Saunkan Saunkne, was a huge success in cinemas. It pulled large crowds and became one of the top-earning Punjabi movies. According to Sacnilk, the film collected over Rs 57 crore. This impressive figure has placed the film at number five among the highest-grossing Punjabi films so far.
Other films on the list include Carry On Jatta 2, Mastaney and Carry On Jatta 3. Sitting at the top of the list is Jatt & Juliet 3, which has collected Rs 102 Crore worldwide.
Saunkan Saunkne 2 has been written by Amberdeep Singh and directed by Smeep Kang. The film is all set to hit the big screens on May 30.
