Shilpa Shetty has worked primarily on Hindi-language films as an actress, film producer and dancer. Shetty is also an author, businesswoman and a former model. Her debut film was Baazigar (1993). She then played a double role in the hit action-comedy Main Khiladi Tu Anari(1994) that got her many accolades. Some of her other well-known films include Dhadkan, Lal Badshah, Phir Milenga, Life in A Metro and Dostana. She has been a fitness enthusiast and had launched her own Yoga DVD in 2015. She has been involved in many fitness campaigns, including Fit India, launched by the Government of India. As part of the Swachh Bharat Mission cleanliness campaign, Shetty was honoured with the Champions of Change Award. From 2009 to 2015, she was a part-owner of the Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals. She is the judge of Super Dancer Chapter 4, which airs on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony Entertainment Television Asia. Shetty gained international fame when she participated in the British reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother Season 5, a show that has inspired India's Bigg Boss. She was in the eye of a storm when her husband Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai police in September 2021 in connection with an adult film racket. Less
