Most Wickets in IPL 2025, Purple Cap: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured a crucial eight-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Guwahati’s Baraspara Stadium to get their first points on the IPL 2025 table. After a series of high-scoring matches, we finally got to see a sticky, slow wicket where RR could only manage 151/9 in the first innings. In reply, KKR reached 153/2 in the 18th over, thanks to an unbeaten 97 (61) from Quinton de Kock.

It was led by two contrasting performances from the two bowling attacks. Batting first, the Royals lost nine wickets, while in the chase, the Knight Riders lost just two, with one of them being a run-out.

A lot like their title-winning campaign in IPL 2023, KKR found immense joy on a pitch where there was a bit of grip and turn for their spinners. On the other hand, RR’s Sri Lankan spin duo of Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana couldn’t produce enough and their pace-heavy set-up looked out of sorts.

It has not put him at ninth, with a total of three wickets, just ahead of Delhi Capitals’ Kuldeep Yadav.

He jumped straight to number four with three wickets thanks to his excellent economy rate of 7.5. Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s leg-spinner Noor Ahmad continues to lead the chart with his four wickets which he took against Mumbai Indians at Chepauk in the team’s season opener.
