The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the prelims exam result of the Combined Geo-Scientist exam 2025. The candidates who appeared for the test can check their results at upsc.gov.in. Those who have cleared the prelims exam will next have to appear for the main exam, scheduled to be conducted on June 21 and 22.
According to the official notice, 489 candidates have qualified for Geologist (Group A), Scientist B (Hydrogeology – Group A), and Assistant Hydrogeologist (Group B) posts. While 194 candidates passed the Geophysicist (Group A), Scientist B (Geophysics – Group A), and Assistant Geophysicist (Group B) exams and 75 candidates cleared the Chemist (Group A), Scientist B (Chemical – Group A), and Assistant Chemist (Group B) exams.

The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Preliminary Examination was conducted in two shifts on February 9. The morning session was held from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by the afternoon session from 2 pm to 4 pm. The morning session exam was held for Paper-I (Code No.1) General Studies (common for all streams); and the afternoon session for Paper-II [Code No.2] stream-specific subject papers such as Geologist and Scientist ‘B’ (Hydrogeology): Geology / Hydrogeology, Geophysicist & Scientist ‘B’ (Geophysics): Geophysics, and Chemist & Scientist ‘B’ (Chemical): Chemistry.
