Delhi Budget 2025 Highlights: CM Rekha Gupta Presents 'Historic' Budget, Allocates Rs 5,100 Cr For Mahila Samridhi

CM Gupta announced Rs 927 crore for better court infrastructure including Rs 200 Cr For hybrid hearing.

The Delhi government allocated Rs 20 crore for Delhi Park and Garden Society.

Highlighting the problems caused by pollution in the national capital, CM Gupta announced Rs 300 crore for pollution control and emergency measures.

CM Rekha announced Rs 2,929 crore for metro services in Delhi.

CM Rekha announced Rs 12,952 crore to improve the transportation system in the national capital.

To facilitate travel of women in buses we will provide cards to women. The entire system will be digitalised, said CM Gupta.

CM Rekha announced that Rs 5 crore have been allocated for the PM Samman Nidhi Scheme. The farmers who were earlier getting Rs 6,000 under the scheme, will now get Rs 9,000, an increment of Rs 3,000, under the scheme.

The government allocated Rs 5 crore or vocational training of people who are sleeping on the streets.

The government allocated Rs 206 crore for Saksham Anganwadi And Poshan 2.0 scheme. Under this, 1,000 anganwadi will be setup in the national capital.

The govt allocated Rs 3,200 crore for financial aid for senior citizens and handicapped.

CM Rekha said that for developing Delhi as tourism hub, “we have allocated 177 crores”. We will develop a tourism circuit that will show the recent developments on the national capital this will include Bharat Madanpam, PM Museum, Yasho Bhoomi, and New Parliament.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announced that new CM Shree schools will be made in Delhi, allocating Rs 100 crores for the same.

The CM also announced 175 new computer labs for schools of the national capital, allotting Rs 50 crore for the same.

Besides this, CM Gupta said that the government has allocated Rs 100 crore for making smart classes. The BJP government aims to make 60,000 classes as smart classes.

CM Gupta also said that 1,200 students will be given laptops, adding that those who have passed class 10th exams will be eligible.

She added that Rs 500 crore have been allocated for making Delhi an education hub.

The BJP has allocated Rs 500 crore for Yamuna water cleaning. CM Rekha Gupta informed that only treated water will enter the river through decentralisation of 40 STPs.

CM Rekha Gupta said that that over 50,000 cameras will be placed across the national capital for the safety of women.

CM Rekha Gupta allocated Rs 500 crore for repair, upgradation of STPs, while Rs 250 crore for replacement of old sewer lines, in the BJP’s budget.

Announcing the formation of “Traders’ Welfare Board”, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said that ‘Global Investment Summit’ will be held in the national capital every two years.

In Delhi Budget for year 2025-26, Rs 10 crores have been allotted for the maintenance of Wazirabad Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

Allocating Rs 9,000 crore for clean water and sanitation, three times than that of the AAP government, CM Rekha said, “Our priority is to make sure that people of Delhi are provided clean water and sanitation.”

Delhi government allocated Rs 100 crore in FY26 Budget to set up 100 Atal Canteens across city.

CM Rekha informed that Rs 20,000 crore has been allotted for PM Awas Yojana, meanwhile, Rs 696 crore have been allotted for the development of Jhuggis.

This is more than 157 percent than the previous government.

Delhi govt’s FY26 Budget has ten focus areas including infrastructure development, electricity, roads, and water, among others, informed CM Rekha Gupta.

CM Rekha Gupta allocated Rs 5,100 crore for Mahila Samridhi scheme. With this, the eligible women will get Rs 2,500 per month.

Announcing a double capital expenditure this year, making it to Rs 28,000 crore, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta took a swipe at Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government and said that the days of ‘corruption’, ‘inefficiency’ are over now.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta presented BJP’s first budget in 26 years on Tuesday and allocating a budget of Rs one lakh crore. She also referred to it as a ‘historic budget’.

Notably, this is the BJP’s first Budget in 26 years in the national capital. The budget will be presented by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who also holds the portfolio of Finance Minister.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, visited the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place ahead of the Budget Session, and offered prayers.

“Bajrang Bali will do the best for Delhi. Delhi will progress, and Ram Rajya will be established,” said Rekha following her visit.
