In a disturbing incident from Noida, a video went viral showing a school teacher losing his temper and repeatedly hitting a 10-year-old special needs student, who was facing difficulties in answering his questions during a lesson

A case has been filed against a teacher and others from Green Ribbon International School in Noida Sector 55 for assaulting the child. The boy’s parents lodged a first information report (FIR) on Saturday, stating that their 10-year-old son had been promised special attention and safety when he was admitted to the school.

Following the complaint, the teacher was suspended and arrested, while the principal and the vice principal of the school were also booked in the case. Officials said the school has been sealed since it was found to be unauthorised, according to a report by The Indian Express.

According to the parents, they discovered the incident through a video shared in a school WhatsApp group. The video shows the teacher, Anil Kumar, involved in a ‘match-the-following’ exercise with the boy. When the boy failed to answer correctly, the teacher was seen shouting at and hitting him repeatedly on the hand.

    ‘Crime Against Humanity’

As the teacher’s anger escalated and he stood up, the female staff member recording the video diverted the camera to other students, instructing one to sit properly and another to eat. However, Kumar’s shouts and the sounds of hitting can still be heard in the background. He is then seen pulling and shaking the boy violently during the lesson.

The parents expressed their horror at the treatment of their son, saying that the video clearly shows Kumar’s violent behaviour. They alleged that their child, who needs special care, was subjected to severe physical and mental harassment, and this incident has left him deeply distressed, saying that such kind of treatment was a crime against humanity.

Additionally, the parents named the school principal and vice-principal in the FIR, alleging that they were aware of previous similar incidents. The principal had assured the parents that the teacher would be suspended.

    School Sealed After Inspection

Pankaj Sharma, the principal of the Green Ribbon International School, said the teacher was suspended from the school and handed over to the police, reported the Times of India. The matter is being investigated by authorities.
