Adolescence Star Christine Tremarco Addresses Season 2 Speculation: 'I Think This Is A One-Off'

The Netflix series has earned an impressive 99 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics raving about this masterpiece. The gripping drama follows the story of a 13-year-old boy accused of murder and the devastating effect it has on his life and those around him.
Actress Christine Tremarco, playing Manda Miller in Adolescence, has now reacted to the speculation surrounding a potential second series of the hit show. She also addressed the immense popularity the show garnered since its premiere on March 13, 2025.

Christine had made an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine on Monday, March 24, to discuss her role in Adolescence. In her conversation with the host, Lorraine Kelly, she discussed the likelihood of a sequel to Adolescence following the resounding success of Season 1.
Lorraine questioned, “Do you think there might be a sequel? I’d love to find out what happens. I’m left with so many questions!"
Christine responded with, “You’re not alone, a couple of people have said that! But maybe that’s a good thing, because it leaves you thinking about what would happen afterwards. But, I think this is a one-off. I think it ends with episode four."
For those who haven’t watch Adolescence yet, Stephen Graham and Christine portray the parents, Manda and Eddie, in the show. They are joined by Owen Cooper, who plays their son Jamie Miller.
In the same conversation, Christine talked about her personal connection to Stephen Graham. She said, “Me and Stephen have known each other since we were kids. Our mums were best friends when we were growing up in Kirby. So, I think that our friendship, without a doubt, lent itself to Manda and Eddie and their relationship. But also, with Stephen, the creator and co-writer of the show, with the brilliant Jack Thorne. And then we’ve got Phil Barantini, who is from Huyton in Liverpool. I’ve known Phil for a long time too."
