Riteish Deshmukh’s Weekend Goals? Watching Sons Riaan And Rahyl Play Football
Riteish recently bagged the award for Best Performance in a Comic Role for the horror-comedy film Kakuda at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2025.
Riteish Deshmukh is a doting father to two boys Riaan and Rahyl, whom he welcomed in 2014 and 2016 respectively with his wife Genelia D’souza. The Housefull actor often treats his Instafam with adorable snippets from his outing with both the kids. On Sunday, he expressed how he likes to spend his weekends with his sons.
Taking to Instagram, Riteish dropped a video on stories depicting his kids playing football with other children and the actor looking at them from behind the line. Sharing the clip, he wrote in the caption, “Best way to spend your Sundays."

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’souza are celebrated as one of Bollywood’s most beloved couples. Their love story began on the sets of their debut film Tumko Meri Kasam in 2003, blossomed into a romance and culminated in marriage in 2012 after nine years of dating.
On the professional front, Riteish recently won the Best Performance in a Comic Role award for his hilarious portrayal in the horror-comedy Kakuda at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2025.
In his heartfelt acceptance speech, Riteish expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you, News18, for this incredible honour. I’m deeply thankful to my director Aditya Sarpotdar and producer Ronnie Screwvala. I accept this award on behalf of my amazing co-stars — Sonakshi Sinha, Saqib Saleem and Aasif Khan. It’s truly special to receive this recognition in the presence of my friends."
He further added, “Meri haisiyat nahi hain, but from my heart, I want to dedicate this award to Salim Saab and Ramesh Ji (Salim Khan, Ramesh Sippy) — for inspiring all of us. We are here today because legends like you paved the way."
Talking about his upcoming projects, Riteish will be next seen playing a negative role in the upcoming thriller film Raid 2 which is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 1, 2025. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film also features Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. It is a sequel to the 2018 film Raid.
Apart from this, he also has a comedy-drama film Housefull 5 in his kitty. Helmed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is set to hit the big screens on June 6, 2025. It features a steallar cast including Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa and Nana Patekar among others.
