Shreyas Talpade Booked In Multi-Crore Chit Fund Scam In Uttar Pradesh
Actor Shreyas Talpade has been named in a new multi-crore chit fund fraud case in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba district.

Actor Shreyas Talpade has found himself facing fresh legal trouble as a new fraud case has been registered against him and 14 others in Uttar Pradesh. The allegations involve a multi-crore chit fund scam that reportedly operated in Mahoba district for over a decade.
As per IANS, the accused were allegedly involved with a company called The Loni Urban Multistate Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society Limited, which targeted villagers by promising high returns on investments. The company’s agents are said to have collected large sums of money from locals, luring them with the claim that their investments would double within a short period.

However, when legal questions began surfacing around the scheme, the agents reportedly shut operations and vanished from the district. A case has now been filed at the Srinagar police station in Mahoba, and authorities have begun an investigation into the matter.
This isn’t the first time Shreyas Talpade’s name has surfaced in connection with financial fraud. Earlier this year in February, an FIR was lodged against him and veteran actor Alok Nath in Lucknow for allegedly duping investors of Rs 9 crore. That complaint was filed at Gomti Nagar Police Station. Prior to that, both actors were also named in a multi-level marketing fraud case in Sonipat, Haryana, along with several others. Shreyas has yet to make any public statement regarding the latest allegations.
Despite the legal controversies, Shreyas continues to have a full slate of upcoming projects. He will be seen next in Welcome To The Jungle, a comedy of errors featuring an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, and others. He’s also part of the star-studded Housefull 5, which boasts a massive cast headlined by Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and many more.
