Maruti Suzuki To Open Third Plant At Haryana's Kharkhoda, Check Details
It has been reported that the top car maker aims to create a new greenfield factory. It will be capable of producing 10,00,000 units annually.

In a move to spread roots in India, and boost business operations, the leading car maker Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to open a third plant at Kharkhoda in Haryana. The news has been confirmed by the brand, where it has revealed that the board of directors have approved an investment of Rs 7,410 crore to push the production limit in the country.
Currently, the brand already has a facility in Kharkhoda, which is capable of producing around 2,50,000 units per annum. The second facilty is under process that is reportedly will double these yearly numbers in the coming years.

Third Plant and Capacity
When it comes to the third plant, it will push the company’s annual production capacity, forcing it to produce another 2,50,000 units per year. As far as the overall combined capacity is concerned, it is likely to hit around 7,50,000. The deadline for the same has been given by 2029.

Amid this, it has been reported that the top car maker aims to create a new greenfield factory. It will be capable of producing 10,00,000 units annually. However, the location has not been finalised yet, and official details are yet to be announced by the company.
Sales Figures
Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki has been witnessing decent sales figures over the past few months. Last year in December, the comapny retailed a total of 178,248 units, including domestic sales of 132,523, followed by other OEMs sales of of 8,306. It has shattered its record in export, dispatching a total of 37,419 units.
