‘They Would Suffer In Competitive World’: Man Drowns Sons In Bucket For Poor Academics, Kills Self
A man allegedly killed his two sons for their poor academic show and then hanged himself in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada.

A 37-year-old Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) employee allegedly killed his two sons for their poor academic performance and then died by suicide in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada, the police said on Saturday.
The incident took place at around 10 pm on Friday when the man drowned his children in a bucket of water after being disappointed with their academic results.

The incident came to light when the man’s wife found him hanging in the bedroom and her children were found lifeless in a bucket.
The police said that the man killed his sons as he feared his sons “would struggle and suffer in a competitive world if they did not excel in their studies".
“Unable to bear this thought, he took the extreme step," the police added.
A suicide note was also recovered from the spot and the police are examining its content. The authorities have also deployed forensic teams and launched an investigation to ascertain the situation leading to the crime.
