Rubina Dilaik Recalls Losing Her House, Money To Scammer: ‘The Guy Went Absconding’
Rubina Dilaik, during the chat, confessed to spending money without any management and not saving up a single penny before she met her husband Abhinav Shukla.
Now a millionaire, Rubina Dilaik once struggled with investing and saving her money. It was only after her husband Abhinav Shukla entered her life that she learned how to handle finances. That’s exactly what Rubina herself revealed during a chat with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa on their podcast. During the candid interaction, she also recalled losing her first house in Mumbai to a scammer who promised her a flat but went missing for three years.
Talking about her traumatic experience when she was scammed of a hefty amount, Rubina Dilaik said, “I haven’t invested anything in Mumbai for the past 10 years. When I bought my first home, it went into the wrong hands. Within less than 90 days I was supposed to shift in the house. The guy where the money was invested went absconding. It took me 3 years to find and bring the money back but that never came back. I lost that house, the money and everything."

Rubina also confessed to spending money without any management and not saving up a single penny before she met her husband. During 2008 and 2010, her first show Chotti Bahu, earned her a lot of fame and money, but she had no idea about how to save money.
In terms of work, Rubina Dilaik is seen in Laughter Chefs, which airs on Colors TV. The former Bigg Boss 14 winner keeps sharing details of her professional and personal life in several conversations with the media. Recently, when she was spotted outside the sets of the show with her assistant, she humorously complained about the latter’s strictness in proof of her fun, down-to-earth nature. In a chat with paps, she was seen telling them about her assistant and said, “She’s very strict, she’ll scold me after going backstage. She scolds me a lot." Afterwards, the duo walked towards the sets to kick off filming for the cooking-based comedy show.
