Mumbai’s Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has teamed up with Google Maps to make daily commutes smoother.

Passengers will soon be able to track BEST buses in real-time, helping them plan their journeys better.

    BEST is working to reduce wait times between buses from 35-45 minutes to just 15-20 minutes. This move aims to improve Mumbai’s public transport system by offering more frequent and reliable services.

    Currently, Google Maps does not support real-time tracking for BEST buses, but that is about to change. According to the Hindustan Times, the feature will go live within a month.

    As per Free Press Journal, BEST General Manager SVR Srinivas confirmed, “We have had multiple meetings with Google, and we expect the service to go live for the public within a month. Passengers will be able to view our bus routes and plan their journey accordingly."
