Sikandar: Makers Shorten Movie, Salman Khan Singing 'Ajeeb Dastaan' Trimmed By 11 Seconds

A day after it was reported that Sikandar has received a U/A certificate from the censoar board, it has now been reported that the makers of Salman Khan starrer have voluntarily decided to cut short the film by 14 minutes 28 seconds.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, 26 scenes have been trimmed by the makers of the AR Murugadoss directorial. Reportedly, a scene with the dialogue ‘Offer aukat ke bahar tha’ has been trimmed. Besides this, a 2-minute 26-second scene with the dialogue ‘Chaar miss call…chalo Rajkot’, a 1-minute 12-second scene with the dialogue ‘Usse leke aata hoon’ and a 4-minute scene with the dialogue ‘Aa gaye aa gaye…bad husband’ have also been deleted completely.

    It has also been reported that a scene in which Salman Khan is singing the song ‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh’ has also been trimmed by 11 seconds. Another scene with the dialogue ‘Yeh sirf sample tha’ has also been cut short by 40 seconds. After these cuts, the final run time of the movie is 135.47 minutes.

Reportedly, the makers were asked to remove the word ‘Home’ from the ‘Home Minister’ mentioned in the movie. Besides this, the makers were also instructed to blur visuals of a political party hoarding.

    Sikandar is one of Sajid Nadiadwala’s most ambitious projects, directed by AR Murugadoss. Besides Salman Khan, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi and Sathyaraj in key roles. Sikandar also boasts stunning cinematography by S. Thirunavukarasu, with Vivek Harshan handling the edits. Pritam has composed the soundtrack, featuring lyrics by Sameer, while the background score has been crafted by acclaimed South Indian composer Santhosh Narayanan.

    Sikandar is set to hit the big screen on March 30, perfectly timed with Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
