'The Stumping From MS Dhoni Was Out Of This World': CSK's Noor Ahmad Left Starstruck After Mesmerizing IPL 2025 Debut
'Thala' MS Dhoni had his own moment, winding the clock back with a lightning-quick stumping, bamboozling MI skipper Suryakumar Yadav more so than Ahmad's stellar delivery that beat him.

It was a magical night for Noor Ahmad, CSK’s newest addition, who witnessed the same from talisman MS Dhoni and also wove some of his own with the ball on his IPL debut on Sunday.
Noor had a stellar start to his career with the ‘Yel-love’ franchise, bamboozling MI alongside the legendary duo of R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, en route to a 4-wicket win against arch-rival Mumbai Indians at Chepauk.

Noor’s spell left the MI batters spellbound, as the wily Afghan scalped away the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Robin Minz, and Naman Dhir to register a sensational 4/18 on his IPL debut.
“It feels special to play here in the IPL. I’m happy for the team and happy with my contribution," Noor stated in his post-match interview after receiving the Player Of The Match award.
“The focus was to land the ball in the right area. Ultimately, taking the wicket of Surya was special."
Noor wasn’t the only one to steal the show tonight. ‘Thala’ MS Dhoni had his own moment, winding the clock back with a lightning-quick stumping, bamboozling MI skipper Suryakumar Yadav more so than Ahmad’s stellar delivery that beat him.

A closer look into Dhoni’s stumping, as per Star Sports, showcases that the dismissal was enforced in just 0.12 seconds. Despite being 43 years old, his class with the gloves continues as it always has been over the years: something that left Noor mesmerized as well.
“The stumping from MSD (MS Dhoni) was out of the world," exclaimed Noor.
“It feels great to have someone like Mahi Bhai behind the stumps, it is a great support for me."
With his four-fer, Noor now holds the Purple Cap, something that CSK will look to build on and hopefully put back in contention for a title this season.
