A horrific double murder occurred in Kalanjoor, a village in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta, where a man allegedly hacked his wife and her friend with a sharp object, police said on Monday.
According to the police, the victims have been identified as Vaishnavi (27) and Vishnu (30).

Police stated that Baiju, Vaishnavi’s 32-year-old husband, harbored suspicions of an illicit relationship between his wife and Vishnu, leading to the tragic incident.
He allegedly chased Vaishnavi to Vishnu’s residence in Kalanjoor, where he hacked her to death using a sharp-edged weapon at around 11 pm on Sunday.
Following a domestic dispute, Vaishnavi reportedly fled her house and took shelter at Vishnu’s residence, seeking refuge and safety.
After attacking Vaishnavi, Baiju also hacked Vishnu, who succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the hospital.
Baiju has been taken into custody, the police said.
