Himansh Kohli’s Emotional Tribute As Yaariyan Re-Releases: ‘Forever Grateful’

Yaariyan, the Himansh Kohli and Rakul Preet Singh starrer 2014 romantic-comedy drama has been re-released on the big screens today, March 21. To mark the special occasion, Himansh took a stroll down memory lane and dropped a string of unseen BTS moments from the sets of the film.
The carousel post begins with a picture featuring the actor posing at a picturesque location with a waterfall in the backdrop, while the next one depicts him with Divya and Rakul. In another photo, Himansh is seen enjoying an outing near the beach on a bright sunny day along with the other cast members of Yaariyan. The next picture is a selfie depicting himself along with his co-actress Evelyn Sharma.

In one of the pictures, Himansh could be spotted playing with rose petals with some local kids and in the next one, the entire team of Yaariyan posed for a happy picture together.
Some of the next few pics showcased Himansh posing with veteran actress Smita Jaykar, who played his mother in the film and Deepti Naval, who played the hostel warden, Gulshan Grover and Rakul Preet Singh.
He also shared a picture from the film’s promotional event and a BTS glimpse of the song ABCD. The last few pictures depicted Himansh’s outing with other team members during the filming of Yaariyan.
The post was accompanied by a heartfelt note that reads, “Today, as Yaariyan returns to the big screen, my heart is full of gratitude and love. This film, which connected me with all of you back in 2014, was not only a special journey but a life-changing one for me. I can still recall the excitement, the anxieties, and the love you showed our work—it became something bigger than I could have ever imagined."
Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to Divya for casting him in Yaariyan, the actor continued, “A big thank you to my fantastic director, @divyakhossla, for believing in me and allowing me to be a part of her debut, which also happened to be mine. Ma’am, you took a chance on me, and we produced something that will live on in the hearts of so many people. For that, I shall be eternally thankful."

Following its success, the makers also came with a sequel Yaariayan 2 in 2023 featuring Divya Khosla, Meezan Jafri and Pearl V Puri in the leads.
