Randeep Rai, known for his performances in TV shows like Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, Balika Vadhu and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain is set to embark on a new journey soon. The actor has now joined the cast of Rupali Ganguly’s popular show Anupamaa, wherein he will be seen portraying the role of Mohit Akela, a character poised to bring a new dimension to Rahi and Prem’s lives. Recently, during an interview, the actor shared his excitement about being a part of such a big show.

Talking to ETimesTV, Randeep stated, “Being a part of Anupamaa is a dream come true for me. What more could I ask for? Having the opportunity to be a part of such an iconic journey is simply surreal. I don’t want to say much about the show or the role because I’m new to it."

    He added, “Thoda sa character, Mahual ko samajh jaun then I can talk more about it. But yes, I can say that I had a dream of becoming a part of a big show like Anupamaa, and it has now come true. I’ve got to be a part of a show, which is itself a big brand."

    Furthermore, speaking about the nervousness about joining a well-established show, he continued, “There’s a little nervousness. The reason is not that I am new, but that when you associate with a brand, you get a feeling of responsibility and must fulfil it. I know I need to give my all to the character and the show. Also, I believe that being a part of a show like Anupamaa, which has been going for five years, allows you to learn a lot."

      Sharing his experience of working on Anupamaa, he said, “We’ve only been filming for two days, and everyone is comfortable. Everyone on the set is very nice, and they’re giving me a lot of support because they know I’m new to the show. They are supportive and amazing people."

      Produced by Rajan Shahi through his banner, Director’s Kut Productions, Anupamaa also features Adrija Roy and Shivam Kathuria in the lead roles. It premieres on Star Plus.
