Palestinians protested against Hamas in northern Gaza – the largest against the militant group since its attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Videos shared widely on social media showed large crowds marching in northern Gaza, chanting “For god’s sake, Hamas out," “Hamas terrorists" and “We want an end to the war."

    A message shared on social media appeared to call for nine anti-Hamas demonstrations across Gaza, it was reported. The message read, “Let them hear your voice, let them know that Gaza is not silent, and that there are people who will not accept to be eradicated."

    Protests in Gaza come as the death toll from the Israel war surpassed 50,000, as per the health ministry in the enclave.

      Northern Gaza has been hit hard after Israel launched its response to the October 7 attacks. The war reduced much of Gaza to rubble with aid agencies finding it increasingly hard to even reach the northern part of the enclave.

      The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said that no food, water, medicines, or fuel had entered Gaza in three weeks. It said in a social media post, “Every day without food inches Gaza closer to an acute hunger crisis."
