A video of Neha Kakkar breaking down in tears during her Melbourne concert has gone viral on Reddit. The singer, who arrived three hours late, apologized profusely to the crowd, but her emotional breakdown did not go down well with everyone.
In the now-viral clip, Neha can be seen apologising to her fans. Fighting back tears, she said, “Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho, I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho. I will make sure that I will make you all dance."

While some members of the audience cheered and clapped to console her, others were clearly frustrated. The video captured angry voices from the crowd, with some shouting, “Go back! Rest in your hotel." One man was heard saying, “This is not India, you’re in Australia." Another added, “We have been waiting for three hours." A third voice mocked her by saying, “Very good acting! This is not Indian Idol. You’re not performing with kids."
Prior to the Melbourne concert, Neha had performed in Sydney and shared glimpses of the event on her Instagram. She wrote, “Thank you #Sydney 😍 Tonight #Melbourne #NehaKakkarLive."
Despite the backlash, Neha’s loyal fans came to her defence on social media. One fan commented on her Instagram post, “Your voice, your energy, your presence, everything is just next level! You are the best ma’am." Another added, “The sweetest human ever ♥️♥️ It was an absolute privilege and dream to perform with you."
Neha recently celebrated Women’s Day with close friends, including Dhanashree Verma and her sister Sonu Kakkar. The group enjoyed a lively celebration, dancing after cutting a cake.
