The highly anticipated trailer of Robinhood, starring Sreeleela and Nithiin, dropped recently with a spectacular launch event — but it was Australian cricketer David Warner’s surprise appearance that stole the spotlight! Famous for his love of Telugu cinema (and his viral dance moves), Warner makes a cameo in the final moments of the trailer, leaving fans cheering. Adding to the fun, the makers shared a behind-the-scenes video where Warner hilariously tries — and fumbles — to learn Telugu phrases from the lead duo, Sreeleela and Nithiin.

The clip kicks off with Nithiin encouraging Warner, saying, “If you want our Telugu audience to love you, you should repeat after us, okay?" To which Warner cheekily replies, “But they already love me." Sreeleela jumps in, teasing, “That’s for cricket — now we’re talking about acting!"

The duo proceeds to teach Warner some Telugu lines, including “You love the Telugu audience" and “You love everyone," which they jokingly tell him are his lines for the event. Warner, visibly confused but ever the sport, gives it his best shot — much to everyone’s amusement.

Sharing the playful moment on Instagram, Mythri Movie Makers captioned the video: “Secret behind David Warner’s Telugu… or not."

During the Robinhood trailer launch event, David Warner joined the entire cast on stage for a dance. That’s not all, the Australian cricketer also performed his favourite hook step from the song Srivalli from Pushpa, which received loud cheers from the audience.

Other than David Warner, Sreeleela and Nithiin, Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula, also stars Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Devdatta Nage, Shine Tom Chacko, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Brahmaji, Aadukalam Naren, Mime Gopi and Shiju, in key roles.

Initially, the movie was planned to release on December 25, 2024, during the Christmas weekend. However, it was postponed for unknown reasons. The movie is now set to hit theatres this week, on March 28, 2025.
