Indian Premier League (IPL) side Sunrisers Hyderabad created history on Sunday (March 23) by becoming the first team in the world to register four 250+ scores in T20s. The Hyderabad-based franchise achieved the feat during the IPL 2025 match played against Rajasthan Royals at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. After being invited to bat first by RR captain Riyan Parag, SRH rode on Ishan Kishan’s 106-run knock from 47 balls and Travis Head’s 67 off 31 balls to post a total of 286 runs on the board for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.

The total of 286 runs in the first match of the IPL 2025 season is SRH’s overall second highest score in T20 history. In the IPL 2024 match played against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 15, 2024, SRH hammered 287 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs.
