Beer Bottles, Punches Fly At South Delhi Bar Over 'DJ's Choice Of Music'. 'Girlfriends' Fan The Flames | Video
The incident took place at a bar in South Delhi's Mehrauli area when the guests got into an argument with the DJ.

A club in South Delhi’s Mehrauli area recently saw a violent fight break out between two groups over the weekend, with videos of the brawl doing rounds on social media. An X user, who was witness to the incident, captured the fight where people could be seen throwing beer bottles and flying punches at the bar and restaurant while staff and other guests watched on helplessly. According to the video, the fight started after a group of guests were upset over the DJ’s choice of songs, leading to an argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
“The DJ (probably) wasn’t playing good songs, so there was this group of 4-5 guys with girls who went to him and asked him to play some other songs. Then the DJ’s girlfriend interfered and must have told something to the guys and one of the boys slightly pushed her," his post read.

After a verbal confrontation between both sides, the DJ eventually intervened, following which the groups started pushing each other. “Then one of the guys from the bigger group slapped the DJ and the fight started, the DJ guy started throwing beer bottles, glasses, plates, etc on the group and broke a glass on a guy’s head," the user added.
The person further stated that the parties continued hurling abuses at each other while getting physically violent. Having thrashed the DJ, the group of men eventually left the bar, following which police were informed.
The video has sparked a divided reaction on the internet, with many expressing concerns over the behaviour of the individuals and the club. “No respect for law and order. Sadly some things don’t change in spite of being educated, one wrote, while someone added, “Another example of money doesn’t buy class." Others noted how such incidents have become common in the city.
This is not the first case of violence at a club in the national capital. Earlier in 2024, a group of young men opened fire at a pub after an argument with the manager over seating arrangements. The incident took place in the Satya Niketan area when the group came to celebrate a party. However, the situation escalated after they had a disagreement over the seats, and one of them opened fire inside the pub. While no one was injured, the police arrested five people in connection to the case.
