The IPL 2025 fever reached a new height when the popular singer and composer Anirudh Ravichander gave a powerful performance right before Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clashed with Mumbai Indians (MI) in Chennai. On Sunday, March 23, the musician, known for his high-energy performances, turned the Chepauk Stadium into his mini concert as he took centre stage. He transformed the stadium into a musical extravaganza with his performance of his songs Badass, Hukum and Arabic Kuthu.

For Anirudh, performing in Chennai for CSK’s season opener was a dream come true as he is a die-hard fan of the team and its former captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. His electrifying performances immediately went viral across various social media platforms. In several videos doing rounds on X, the 34-year-old singer-composer, wearing an all-white outfit, was seen giving a high-energy performance on Hukum from Rajinikanth’s 2024 blockbuster film Jailer. The audience also could be seen passionately singing the song alongside Anirudh.

The singer also delivered a power-packed performance on Badass, a song from Thalapthy Vijay’s film Leo. To top it all off, Anirudh sent the audience into a frenzy by performing Arabic Kuthu, one of his most popular songs. Meanwhile, when the singer was singing, Dhoni was shown on the screen, leading the crowd to cheer at the top of their lungs.

Unfortunately, this power-packed performance by Anirudh was only available for the audience present at the stadium. Earlier, Star Sports confirmed that the pre-match ceremony before CSK and MI’s match at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium is exclusively for the fans attending the match as the rights for the event were not cleared for broadcast. This left million of fans disappointed as they were eagerly waiting for the high-energy performance by the 34-year-old singer-composer.

Beyond the musical spectacle, it was a great start for CSK as they triumphed over MI by four wickets in their first match of IPL 2025.

Speaking of Anirudh Ravichander’s work front, he has an exciting year ahead. He is set to compose music for Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming Telugu film Kingdom, which is set to be released on May 30. Anirudh is also working on The Paradise, featuring Nani and Srikanth Odela. Apart from this, he will also be composing music for Jailer 2 and Coolie, starring Rajinikanth.
